Apostrophe· is a French spelling practice app, available on iOS and Android, published by LMT Digital Creations. Your privacy is a priority. This policy explains what data is processed, how, why, and what your rights are.

1. Data created on your device

Basic use of Apostrophe· requires no account. The following data is created and stored locally on your device, and in your private iCloud (on iOS, if sync is enabled):

• Profile: level, regional variant, preferences
• Dictation cards, attempts, scores, progress (spaced repetition)
• Audio files cached locally
• Usage counters (free dictations remaining, streak)

On iOS, iCloud sync is handled by Apple via CloudKit and stays in your private space. On Android, this data stays on the device.

2. Account (optional)

If you subscribed on our website, you can sign in inside the app to restore your access and profile. Only in that case do we process:

• Sign-in credentials via Firebase Authentication (Google): your email address, or your "Sign in with Apple" identifier.
• Cloud profile via Firebase Firestore (Google): the first name, goal, level, regional variant and difficulty points you provided.

This data is used only to restore your profile and Premium access across your devices. You can delete your account and this data at any time from Settings > Account > Delete my account.

3. Analytics and attribution

To understand how the app is used and where installs come from, we use:

• Firebase Analytics (Google): aggregated, pseudonymous usage statistics (screens viewed, key actions).
• AppsFlyer: install attribution, that is, knowing which marketing campaign led to a download.

These tools receive neither the content of your dictations nor your profile data. On iOS, any tracking for advertising purposes is enabled only with your explicit consent (App Tracking Transparency).

4. Content generation (third-party services)

Apostrophe· uses the following services to generate the learning content:

• OpenAI (GPT API): generates the dictation sentences and corrections. OpenAI's policy.
• ElevenLabs (text-to-speech): audio playback of the sentences. ElevenLabs' policy.

These calls go through a secure proxy server. No API key passes through your device, and only the sentence text is sent, with no personal data.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by the platforms: Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play), or, for a subscription taken out on the web, through our payment provider. Premium access rights are managed with RevenueCat. We have no access to any payment information (bank card), which is processed directly by these platforms.

6. Notifications

If you enable notifications, they are scheduled locally on your device. No notification token is sent to our servers.

7. Website

Our website uses Google Analytics to measure traffic, only after your consent via the cookie banner. If you decline, no measurement cookie is set.

8. Storage and security

• Local data is stored on your device (SwiftData on iOS) and in your private iCloud via CloudKit.
• Account data (if you create one) is hosted by Google Firebase.
• Cached audio files are purged automatically after 30 days of inactivity.
• Communications between the app, our proxy server and third-party services are encrypted via HTTPS.

9. Children's data

Apostrophe· may be used by children in a school or family setting. Basic use requires no account and the app contains no advertising. Usage statistics are aggregated and pseudonymous, and are not used for advertising profiling.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify and delete your data.

• Account data: Settings > Account > Delete my account, or write to us.
• Local data: uninstall the app.
• iCloud data: Settings > your account > iCloud > Manage Storage > Apostrophe·.

11. Changes

This policy may be updated. The last modification date is shown at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced via an app update.
